I showed my son Storypot. He loved it. He loved adding the ingredients part and last night, he said amma let's cook a story! Subscribing to it for sure, Thank you for Storypot ✨ - Mom of a 3 year old, India
The product is SUPER cool! As a mom I was worried to expose my kid to content on the phone, but the outcome is static, so that it resembles a book more than an app. I love it! The story of the pot and magical vibe is really great, perfect for such an app. - Mom of a 4 year old, Germany
My son really likes it!! He discovered the surprise after reading the book, I'd love to have recorded that, he had a wow moment!!! He literally said: "wow!! This is the best I have seen in my life, thank you for getting this for me 😍 - Mom of a 7 year old, Spain
My daughter's been enjoying the app so much, so first of all, thank you! The thing she loves most is dragging the icons into the pot herself, it gives her a sense of control on the story I think. She also enjoys the stories, but likes me to read them. - Mom of a 5 year old, India

Every story your child stirs up in Storypot is unique, and you can choose a little extra magic to sprinkle in.
Pick themes like kindness, trying again, big feelings, or even finances, and Storypot will weave them in subtly, through metaphors and playful characters.
It’s a quiet, creative way to help your child explore emotions, situations, and life lessons — not as lectures, but as stories they're excited to hear and tell.

Screen time is a tricky subject for every parent, and for good reason.
I built Storypot because I believe tech should empower kids, not entertain them into silence. Here, your child isn’t zoning out. They’re choosing characters, mixing ingredients, and bringing their own story to life.
Instead of overstimulation and empty entertainment, Storypot offers something calmer, more creative, and emotionally nourishing — a gentle alternative for moments when screens are part of the day. And it's even more fun to do together.

Hi! I’m Akshan — designer, dad, and the person behind Storypot.
This little app wasn’t planned. It was sparked by a moment at bedtime when my 5-year-old son didn’t want to read a book. Instead, he pointed at a ceramic container in his room that had a frog-shaped lid and stars painted on it, and said, “Tell me a story about that.” So I thought, what if he could create his own unique stories?
Five days later, I had built a tiny prototype where he could drop ingredients (emojis) into a pot and get a story out. That tiny moment between us turned into something I now get to share with families like yours.
Storypot isn’t made by a big company. It’s a side project full of heart, made in late nights and nap times. If it brings a little wonder or a moment of calm to your home, I couldn’t be happier.
If you'd like to follow along the journey, follow Storypot on Instagram @the.storypot, and if you've got feedback or questions, drop me an email here: hello@thestorypot.com

How does Storypot work?
Kids drag and drop emojis into a magical cauldron, and Storypot uses a powerful language model (LLM) — the same kind of technology behind ChatGPT — to turn those emojis into a unique story. Each emoji becomes a character, setting, or surprise in the tale, making every story one-of-a-kind.
